A video wall can be described as an arrangement of multiple computer monitors, television sets or video projectors. The screens have been specially designed with narrow bezels to minimize breaks between screens lying adjacent to each other. It is agreed by many that this is one of the most important advancements in the technological world. It has significantly upgraded communication, presentation, display and marketing techniques.

Sure these video walls are most commonly bought by corporate entities and found more often in skyscraper buildings but this does not mean that their use is limited to the corporate world. If you own a restaurant or are thinking of opening a sports bar you should definitely consider having a video wall installed onsite. The possibilities are endless; there are so many things you can do with these walls in your restaurant or sports bar.

• Menu boards – this is the most common and basic use of video walls in restaurants. All the screens can be programmed to display whatever you want and whatever time you choose. This is a great way to show off the restaurant’s menu. The high resolution pictures should definitely catch the customer’s eye and save them the trouble of having to squint their eyes to make out the names and prices of items on a board above the counter.
• Here, there and everywhere – the great thing about video walls is that their application is virtually unlimited. Apart from using it as a menu board you can have it placed near the door and facing a glass window for passers-by to see. Walls near doors and windows should display real attention-grabbers; perhaps a catchy phrase, the special of the day, special offers and meals. This would also make the restaurant look brighter and more attractive in general.
• Happy hour – one of the great things about these video walls is its software. It has an endless host of setting choices which allow you to tailor its working exactly according to your needs and preferences. For instance the screens may be programmed to display the breakfast menu during breakfast hours and the happy hour deals during the happy hour. Your customers are much more likely to remember digitalized and animated displays of these menus as compared to card menus.
• Tweets – the use of social media integration on screen displays in restaurants is a relatively new idea. Twitter is one of the most popular social networks in the world. It also has the largest host of users worldwide. Displaying your restaurant’s twitter feed on one of the boards is a great way to show off the popularity and ratings of your establishment.
• Sports bars – the use of a video wall in sports bars is pretty obvious; to display live games for the entertainment of your guests. Projector displays were used previously but these give a washed out appearance. Video walls that are large enough will ensure everybody can see the game clearly. Also, if there are two important games going at the same time, both can be displayed on different screens.
